His wall fountain designs
Latry’s inspiration came probably from a fountain at the Aloupka Palace where his Grandmother & Mother, Helen Aivazovsky, lived under the protection of Prince Vorontsov. This was following the unexplained disappearance of her Grandfather, a Scot, at the time of the death of Alexander I at Taganrog in 1825.
